After 20 years studying and working in British universities, whereof six years as Professor of Organisational Behaviour, Rune returned to Norway in 2019 where he is now Professor of Leadership at University of Stavanger Business School. With a PhD in Leadership he is the editor-in-chief of Journal of Change Management, co-author and editor of several books on organisational change and leadership, works closely with industry where he is a sought-after keynote speaker, and feels passionately about the EPICally MAD leadership philosophy. Rune is keen on further developing our understanding and application of leadership as a verb, something we do rather than something we are, as an important step towards identifying and implementing solutions to many of the challenges we are currently facing as a society (e.g. sustainability, health, education, equality).
