Dr Ben Warner is head of strategy at ASI. He has previously worked both as a data scientist and as a commercial lead. This background has led him to specialise in working with organisations to find novel opportunities for exploiting AI across both a broad range of sectors and scales, including a FTSE 250 company and a central government department.
ASI helps apply Artificial Intelligence to solve business and policy problems. Founded in 2014, ASI has developed an unrivalled specialist expertise having designed and deployed custom machine learning algorithms through over 200 commercial engagements. This includes the UK Government’s most high-profile use of AI to counter terrorist propaganda. ASI has research partnerships with Harvard and UCL, and receives applications from about 10% of the UK’s Science and Maths PhDs to its fellowship programme every year.
Before ASI Ben was a research fellow in experimental quantum physics at UCL’s Centre for Nanotechnology. His research has been published in multiple Nature journals and his PhD in single molecule spintronics was awarded the Marshall Stoneham prize for outstanding postgraduate research.
