CEO and Co-founder of Huddlestock
Huddlestock is a Norwegian financial technology company based in Oslo, London and Sternberg. The company has developed an online investment platform that let’s everyone tap into investment ideas before only available to large institutional investors, by combining the idea of alpha-capturing from the Hedge fund industry and crowdtrading. Huddlestock has 10 employees with 7 different nationalities and is regulated by BaFIN in Germany. The company has been nominated Fintech of the Year 2017 in both UK and Norway.
Prior to establishing Huddlestock in late 2014, Murshid co-founded various other companies, including Mess&Order, Kolent, Reemsys and Norsaco Ltd. He has also worked in the Norwegian Foreign Affairs as a commercial trainee, in Riyadh, Saudi-Arabia, in a mobile tech start-up in Cape Town, South Africa, and in the oil and gas industry in Aker Solution. He is currently a Phd student in Economics on leave at the University of Stavanger, and has his masters from Grenoble Ecole de Management in France and a bachelor in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, he has also studied at London School of Economics, Wits Business School in Johannesburg, and the United Nations University in Tokyo. Being an avid reader, one of his favorite books is On the Road by Jack Kerouac.
